The Beach Boys have been one of the most notable American sounds for more than six decades. This legendary band has made its mark on music history and pop culture with its iconic "surf rock" sounds and sensational harmonies. Founded in 1961, the original band started with teenaged Wilson brothers: Brian, Carl, and Dennis, their cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine. Their music grew into a following where fans relish in California and surf culture, love, and youth.
In July of 1962, The Beach Boys signed with Capitol Records and released their first album Surfin’ Safari within the same year. Some of their most famous songs include "Good Vibrations", "California Girls", "Wouldn't It Be Nice", and "Kokomo". Evolving into one of the most commercially successful bands of all time, The Beach Boys have sold over 100 million records worldwide.
In 1988, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and are recipients of The Records Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award. Influencing music to this day, their songs attract millions on streaming platforms like Spotify and remain a cultural icon.
